Dorset Muscahounds was set up in 2015 with the primary aim of providing services designed to improve the lives of dogs and their owners. Owning a dog can be a truly wonderful experience but expecting our dogs to just slot into our busy lives can have its challenges.

All services are designed to help owners to better understand their dogs, how to provide an appropriate environment and all the essentials, whilst nurturing and improving their bond.

Dorset Muscahounds is owned and run by Natasha Vobes a qualified and accredited dog trainer. All services offered use positive reinforcement training methods, led by science. Natasha has years of experienced of working with a variety of different dogs and caters for all sizes, breeds and ages.

A little about me:

I currently live in Creekmoor Poole with my fiancé. I have always been an animal lover and have owned horses, gerbils, dogs, and ferrets over the years. Unfortunately I wasn't in a position to get my own dog until 14 years ago. This was when a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback called Alfie came into my life. He was such a lovely boy but he had some issues and was a very difficult dog. Life was not easy but we managed the best we could. When we looked to get help for Alfie it was a minefield and after some bad advise alongside some bad management on our part. I finally found a wonderful lady who set us on the right path. This lead me to undertake some dog training courses to help understand and work with Alfie. After a few courses I was hooked and although I was working full time as a Group Operations Manager I continued training in my spare time. It became clear that dog's and training were my passion. So I prepared, saved, passed my dog trainer assessment and set up Dorset Muscahounds.

As Dorset Muscahounds was born from my bad experience as a dog owner trying to obtain help. My primary aim is to provide knowledgeable, reliable, caring services that enhance the life's of dogs and their owners. I can really empathise with how difficult life can be as I have been there and I am here to help.

I am a fully member of the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers)

I am a member of I train dogs

I am a supporter of ICAN (International companion animal network)

I am a member of Dog Training College (DTC)

I continually work to improve and increase my knowledge by working with other trainers / behaviourists, participating in different dog activities, attending courses / seminars / webinars, listening to podcasts and reading books.

My Tribute to Alfie     13.9.2010 - 4.7.2019

To my gorgeous crazy, loving boy that made me laugh everyday and gave the best kisses and cuddles.

From the moment I saw you I was smitten and our lives changed forever. Your arrival was a baptism of fire and we certainly had our ups and downs along the way. Together though we learned how to manage our issues and the world around us. Its because of you I started my journey to becoming a dog trainer and our life together started to improve. I learned so much from you and you have made me the dog trainer I am today. For that I owe you so much. The love and bond we shared was just amazing. I wouldn't change a second of it and I would do it all again tomorrow if I could.

You will be forever missed RIP.

My Tribute to Maya    20.2.2013 - 19.4.2022

To my gorgeous liver nose girl. You were such a good girl right from the off. As a puppy I used to call you my pocket rocket as you loved to run and play. Your later years were quieter due to your slipped disc. But not matter what happened you had the sweetest nature ever.

I was sad to let you go but the time was right. RIP gorgeous girl.
